Red clover, Trifolium pratense, is a hardy meadow legume with dense magenta flower-heads that have been steeped and pressed across folk traditions for centuries. Its flowers are unusually rich in isoflavones — the plant-compound family that gives the extract in Capixyl its character, concentrated around a molecule called biochanin A.
